60% of all Canadian Grizzly Bears live in British Columbia. They can be found in the dense forests, sub-alpine meadows, arctic tundra, around inlets and salmon spawning grounds. The grizzlies prefer areas where they aren’t bothered by humans, such as remote areas and the rugged mountains which makes areas of the Chilcotin Ark the perfect habitat for them .
A grizzlies diet consists of: small mammals like ground squirrels, fish like salmon, berries, grass, white bark pine cones and other plant species. The diet of the bear changes with their habitat and the season.
