Due to the big variety of ecosystems and habitats, the Chilcotin Ark is the home for 11 out of 29 big game species of North America like mountain goat, California Bighorn sheep, Canadian moose, Rocky Mountain elk, grizzly and black bear, mule, white-tailed and black-tailed deer, woodland caribou and cougar. But other than those 11, there are a lot more species living in these mountains, from large to small mammals, from rodents like chipmunk marmot and beaver to felines like bobcat and lynx, as well as wolf and coyote.
