Herds of Woodland Caribou can be seen in the mountainous forests in British Columbia. The Woodland Caribou are a important part of the biodiversity and ecosystem of the province. One of the biggest populations of Caribou in the Chilcotin Ark, can be found in Itcha-Ilgachuz (in the north of the Chilcotin Ark) the population is 508 and it is declining.
