Due to the location of the Chilcotin Ark, the variety of ecosystems and habitats, it is home for 100’s of bird species of all different sizes from hummingbirds to grouse and eagles. A variety of different waterbirds like ducks, swans, loons and geese live in the wetlands, rivers and lakes of the Chilcotin Ark. Predator birds like eagles and owls feed on the variety of rodents and small animals living in the Ark and seeds- and insects-eating birds like Clark’s Nutcracker and a variety of woodpeckers are living in the forests all around the Chilcotin Ark.
